A new white paper on “Economic Potential of Pegmatites” is now available for download.
ANZAPLAN has served as a partner for a wide range of pegmatite projects tailoring processes including advanced and innovative processing technologies such as e.g. automated sensor based sorting technology or alternative comminution technologies.
Pegmatites are typically igneous rocks of limited extent of mostly granitic composition, offering spectacular, giant-sized crystals while hosting a number of highly valuable and strategic elements. Pegmatites represent highly differentiated parts of the original magma thus providing an inevitable source for rare lithophilic elements e.g. lithium, beryllium, boron, or high field strength elements (HSFE) such as zirconium, niobium, tantalum, hafnium and rare earth elements.
This white paper describes general features of rare element pegmatites and their economic aspects.
