A new white paper on Anzaplan’s services in Lithium recovery from Mica is now available for download.
The paper describes the process of Li extraction developed for Li bearing mica.
The major part for lithium production is sourced from brines, which are located in South America. In order to offer a diversified lithium supply, a large number of exploration projects for hard rock lithium deposits have been initiated.
Mica sources of Lithium named Zinwaldite are becoming strongly in the focus, primarily as side mineral in Sn-W-greisens, pegmatites or quartz veins which can bear appreciable amounts of Lithium. In the white paper the process of Li extraction developed for Li bearing mica is described. Lithium can be extracted as high value by-product improving the sustainability of mining activity and the overall cost base.
