ANZAPLAN has been awarded by Australian based junior mining company Northern Cobalt Ltd to develop a process for the physical concentration and hydrometallurgical extraction of valuable metals from a cobalt ore from the Wollogorang project in Australia.
The project is located in the Wollogorang region of the Roper Gulf Shire in the Northern Territory of Australia, adjacent to both the Queensland border and the Gulf of Carpentaria, located within the Wearyan Shelf tectonic element of the southeastern Palaeoproterozoic to Mesoproterozoic McArthur Basin.
Target of ANZAPLAN’s test work is to develop an efficient processing solution for obtaining a battery-grade material suitable for the rapidly growing mobile energy storage market.
ANZAPLAN’s technical centre working hand in hand with its in-house laboratory is fully equipped to provide the optimum processing solution covering both conventional and innovative mechanical / physical separation facilities as well as enhanced hydrometallurgical facilities to finally meet even the highest quality requirements of its demanding clients both at the bench and at the pilot scale.
