ANZAPLAN evaluating BlackEarth Minerals NL’s flake graphite BlackEarth Minerals NL assigned ANZAPLAN to conduct test work to evaluate the flake graphite of its Maniry project in Madagascar.
BlackEarth’s Maniry project covers an area of approximately 143 km2. The project is reached by way of 40 km of secondary dirt roads heading north of Ampanihy, a large regional township in southern Madagascar.
Previous systematic exploration at Maniry revealed that it hosts a large-scale graphite mineralised system. Preliminary work on most of the defined targets has been completed. Thus, BlackEarth considers the Maniry project to be at an advanced stage of exploration. Indicated and Inferred resource results from recent drilling confirm consistent, thick, outcropping high grade graphite results.
ANZAPLAN has been appointed to evaluate the spheroidization and purification of BlackEarth’s flake graphite. Managing Director Tom Revy said: “The initial expandable test work results are extremely pleasing and potentially add a further high-value market for Maniry’s concentrate. We have already initiated further and more detailed battery and expandability test work, which is currently being undertaken in Germany by Dorfner ANZAPLAN, which will be complete in several months.”
